I clock in at a towering 5’2″, so obviously, I rarely wear heels.
In my first edition of Friday Feets, I posted a pair of Via Spiga wedges that I had recently purchased. I wore them the other night and they were kind of amazing. Not only were they comfortable, but I could almost make eye contact with my boyfriend – a rarity for me.
So, in honor of this momentous occasion, here are some woven platform wedges. I’m trying out ShopStyle links instead of Amazon.com ones.
Miss Me Mochi-11 Sandals – $40.95
These are tall. No, really tall. 4.5 inches tall. But, as has so often been mentioned in fashion magazines, the platform doesn’t make it feel high. No, wait, that’s a damned lie. If you’re not used to being 5’6″, finding a new center of gravity is weird and difficult. Or maybe it’s just that I’m not particularly coordinated. Either way, the high heel is initially awkward but worth it.
Moda Spana Open-Toe Espadrille – $75.95
Not quite as high – only 3.5″ at the heel. This comes in five other colors, all of which I like more than the black, but black was the only option for the photo. I love the mocha (a medium brown) and flamingo (a peachy pink) – both go really well with the braided fiber.
Franco Sarto Cool Espadrille – $89.95
I picked this primarily because the rocks remind me of the chewy candy rocks that they use to decorate cakes.
Yes, I am just that easy.
