Yes, I realize it’s almost June, but LA has been having an unseasonably cool spring. It rained yesterday. Two days before Memorial Day weekend. And it wasn’t a warm tropical rain like you get on the east coast in the summer. This was a miserable, drizzling, very cold rain. While it wasn’t enough to produce puddles, I still wished I had worn boots rather than my now-damp Converse. So, in light of that, here are a few that I found.

Capelli New York Fisheye Dots Rain Boots – $24.99

I felt it was very important that I include at least one polka-dot rain boot. I don’t know why. But it seemed vitally important while searching.

Western Chief at ShopStyle

Western Chief Chevy Plaid Boot – $59.95

I’m biased toward lug soles. Partly because I think rain boots look like rubber slippers without them, and partly because I need all the traction I can get. And lug soles make me feel like a badass.

Chooka at ShopStyle

Chooka Noir Lace-Up Rain Boot – $79.95

Am I the only one who can’t see Doc Martins without immediately getting the Clarissa Explains It All theme song stuck in their head?

Kate Spade at ShopStyle

Kate Spade Randi Rain Boots – $125

I think what I love most about these boots is the “of course” factor. Of course, if someone is going to buy Kate Spade rain boots, they’d love a nice heel. And if they want a nice heel, of course they’d want the boot in Barbie pink. And of course, instead of a buckle, there’s a bow.

These boots just make so much sense. Because, while I wouldn’t wear rain boots with a heel (I’m too slip-prone), someone who would wear rain boots with a heel would love everything about these.

Petit Tresor Frog Kids Rain Boots – $36

If you have either tiny feet or a small child, do yourself (or them) a favor and buy these. Actually, buy these even if you have big feet, and then cut open the toe bed where the mouth of the frog is. Sure, your feet will hang out and get wet, but your feet will also have eyes. And that’s logic you can’t argue with.

If you want to buy one of these (or any Friday Feets shoes), please consider clicking on the Amazon.com or the Endless.com links in the sidebar. I’ll eventually stop begging for money, really.

And, as always, if you have any suggestions for upcoming Friday Feets, send me an email or leave a suggestion in the comments. Because I’m just not that creative.

Ohmigosh! I have got to have the grey plaid and pink rainboots! Those are perfect. I applaud the designer of all of these!

  • @Kyra – Yay! I’m glad you like them. If you get them, send a picture and I’ll make a post about the boots in real life.
