About a month ago, I had a brilliant idea, Microsoft 7-style, while in the shower. Yes, complete with angelic chorus and dazzling eye lights. “Of course!” I thought to myself. “I should post shoes that I like every Friday!” And thus, Friday Feets was born.

It didn’t occur to me, of course, how hard it would be to find new shoes every week. But now that I’ve committed to doing this, dammit, I’m going to keep posting. So this week, rather than picking a style, I’m going with a designer – Steve Madden.

Steve Madden Trinitie Platform Pump – $79.95

I’ve been loving yellow lately, even if I never wear the color. But I really like this not-quite lemon yellow, especially with the suede. It doesn’t feel too bright – it just seems springy. They’re also available in lilac, which I also really like. Plus, they’ve got a good 3/4″ hidden platform to balance out the 4.25″ heel.

Steve Madden Tostido Riding Boot – $127-154

Knee-high boots make me very, very happy. I don’t own these boots, but I want to. My calves, however,  are way too muscular for pull-on boots such as these, so I’ll have to be happy just posting them on my blog and hoping that they find their way into someone else’s home, where they can be loved and worn and treated right.

Yeah, I don’t really think of shoe shopping as buying. I think of it as rescuing, like with animals. I know, it’s weird, but it does help justify buying them.
