Oh, there are so many reasons this dress would have been economical to manufacture. Working without a pattern will definitely cut costs. As is just reselling the “irregular” dresses at a discount store. Or it could be that Alexander Wang hired Mrs. William’s 6th period Home Ec class to work in the factory. Hey, it’s only a sweatshop if they don’t get school credit, right?

Actually, that would explain why his fall line is entirely devoted to clothes for flour sack babies.
