Fact: duct tape can do anything. It’s the MacGyver of inanimate objects. The fact that MacGyver didn’t carry around duct tape at all times makes me suspect he’s a hack.

My first instinct with this dress was to follow up that thought with, “just because duct tape can do anything  doesn’t mean it should.”

Then I started to write this post. I thought about the myriad uses for duct tape, all the times I’ve thought to myself, “Man, if only I had duct tape right now, I could fix my purse/hang that poster/disable this bomb.”

And I realized: a dress decorated with strips of duct tape is genius! Whenever you need some, bam! It’s right there, conveniently located on your clavicle. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this sooner?

Wait, it’s not actual duct tape? It’s just paint that looks like duct tape?

Well that’s pointless. You might as well just buy a comfortable dress, rather than a tight one that gives the model strange bulges, and then add duct tape to it.
