Friday Feets: July 4th 2

I SURVIVED.

YAY.

AND NOW, SIX GLORIOUS WEEKS OF FREEDOM.

But first, a nap …

I’m exhausted and it’s been a very long month, so today’s Friday Feets is going to be a painfully obvious one.

4th of July is Chairman Kaga’s favorite holiday. And what’s not to love, really? There are barbecues, fireworks, bunting, paper plates and napkins with the American flag on them. I love a good excuse for themed dishware.

So, here are some red and blue (with a little white) shoes. And they’re all flat-soled or wedged, because there is nothing worse than wearing heels to a barbecue and singlehandedly aerating the lawn with your stiletto.

ModCloth Quilt Yanking Our Chain Flat – $31.99

In the car today, I realized that ModCloth was probably on ShopStyle. This was a thrilling revelation, since they have some really cute shes to link to. I love the gold chain across the front. And they’re under $35, which is a definite plus.

Converse Big Star Ox – $50.50

Come on. I had to include these. They’re red, white and blue Converse. With stars. I’m pretty sure George Washington wore these when he was crossing the Delaware.

He had very large feet.

French Sole at ShopStyle

French Sole Waffle Flat – $149.95

They’re light and airy (which I wrote as “hairy” the first time, inexplicably).  A nice alternative to flip-flops, when it’s too hot to even consider wearing real shoes. And they just feel so damn classy.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Sandals – $158.24

I could have sworn I posted these before but can’t find them … oh, senility. Anyway, something with a little height for those of us who don’t break 5’3″. Cork, which I’m big on right now, and a glossy red. Festive, summery, and on sale (they were $339.95).

    I love Chairman Kaga. And I love the pic of G-Dub in his Converse kicks. This started my holiday weekend off right. :)
