Today was the one-year anniversary of the blog. I spent it panning for sapphires. No, really, there’s a place you can go in Montana and do it – which, if you’re a giant nerd like I am, is the best thing since Bill Nye.

This means that all my big plans about posting my favorite entries, or my favorite comments, or the ugly clothes I found  but couldn’t think of a funny way to write about … come on. Sapphires. That you can find. And keep. In lieu of a big one-year anniversary post, here’s a picture of me from my 17th birthday.

Yup. As dorky then as I am now.

I can’t thank you guys enough for reading the blog. The comments and clothing suggestions make my day. If not for the fact that people actually read and participate, there is no way the blog would have made it to a year.
