A couple weeks ago, I babbled about J.Crew’s accessories. It was during one of those moments where I confused “Fall semester is starting” with “First day of school=new wardrobe!” (as it turns out, no, it does not. Unless you count the t-shirt I bought at the bookstore yesterday because I forgot the “No tank tops in chem lab” rule).
J.Crew’s fall line is all kinds of pretty. Cute shells, gorgeous coats, gunmetal dresses – okay, I’m probably going to end up doing a Friday Feets that’s clothes related in a week or two, which entirely defeats the purpose of Friday Feets (that shoes are universal because anyone can wear them, regardless of their body type).
But, I’ll worry about whether or not I’m forsaking all that Friday Feets represents later. Today’s Friday Feets is straightforward enough:
The grosgrain rose is cute, and the pailettes are a nice touch of shiny. Really, not much more to say about these – they’re ballet flats, and you can’t go wrong with ballet flats.
Booties are starting to grow on me. They’re not my style – back when I first saw them, they seemed kind of stumpy and hoove-inducing. But I love the buckle and the studs. The wood goes nicely with the leather. On the whole, I just really like these.
Yes, please. Want.
Something about these feels very old-school Hollywood, like Bette Davis wore them as bedroom slippers. Maybe it’s the combination of the grey satin with the bow? Either way, they feel sexy and retro.
I have fairly small feet (6.5). Unfortunately, they’re not quite small enough to fit into J. Crew’s remarkably cute kids shoes. But, if you’re one of those people with tiny feet, then you’re in luck – you get J. Crew’s ballet flats for a fraction of the price. I’m currently writing this post while sitting in a sushi restaurant with my boyfriend, so I’m going to present these without comment:
In other news, this was a huge week – the blog hit 1,000 fans on Facebook. For those of you who read the blog and became fans on Facebook, thanks for your support! And as for the lurkers … well, what are you waiting for? All the cool kids are doing it.
And we’re all silently judging you.
Have a good weekend, guys!
