Friday Feets: New Years Eve Shinys 3

Tonight is Christmas Eve, which means any of the following: ham, pine trees, winter break, mistletoe, cookies, old fat men breaking into your house and leaving you presents while his elk or whatever eat all your grass and ruin the lawn. But, beyond all else, it means that New Years Eve is in a week.

I  was going to do a Christmas-themed post, but let’s be honest: you’re not getting anywhere near a mall today. If you don’t have everything you needa for tonight – well, that ship has sailed (alternately: that frankincense has been myrrhed).

New Years is a whole other issue. You still have a week to scrounge, scrape and cobble together the finishing touches for your New Years Eve outfit.

According to ancient prophesy, when the tiny orange creature descends from the heavens on the eve of the year two-thousand and eleven, prosperity shall rain from the sky like tanning spray.Which is why this week’s theme is …

Left: Mossimo Supply Co Odell Sequin Ballet Flats – $12.99
Right: Banana Republic Marble Sequin Ballet Flat – $69.99

Because you don’t always want to ring in the New Year with blisters and pinched toes.

Left: Forever 21 Sequined Peep Toe Stilettos – $27.80
Right: Colin Stuart for Victoria’s Secret Reversible Sequin Stiletto – $29.99

I just got the Forever 21 heels. I haven’t taken them out for a test drive yet, but they look pretty awesome and make me almost a normal height. As for the Colin Stuart heels … I don’t know if the reversible sequin thing works, but it’ll probably make for a great drunk party trick around 11:30.

Left: Converse All Star With Sequins – $42.49
Right: Hunter Carnaby Metallic Boa Boots – $150

Everyone should own a pair of Fancy Converse. Or, at the very least, I should own a pair of Fancy Converse. The rain boots are a good option if your weather is half as miserable and grey as the storm that just passed through LA.

Left:BCBG Sequined Sling-Back Heel – $178
Right: Christian Louboutin Glitter Covered Peep Toe Pumps – $795

You really can’t go wrong with sparkly party shoes.

Top Left: Charlotte Russe Disco Glitter Accordian Clutch – $9.50
Top Right: Lulu Townsend Sequin Frame Clutch – $29.95
Bottom: Kate Landry Peacock Sequin Flap Clutch – $35

Three shiny clutches to go with your sparkly party shoes.

Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish:

1.  Ruby Red Slipper – $18 2.  Today Was A Fairytale – $20 3.  Across the Universe – $18 4.  Happy Birthday – $18

OPI for Sephora Nail Polish:

1.  Only Gold For Me Top Coat – $9 2.  Merry Me – $9 3.  Sparkle Me Silver Top Coat – $9 4.  Midnight Mambo – $9 5.  Flurry Up Top Coat – $9

I recently picked up some new nail polish with glitter in it. I’ve taken to waving my fingers in my boyfriend’s face while saying “Gliiiittteeerrrryyyyy.” Give it a shot – it amuses me endlessly, so it must be worthwhile.

To those of you who celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas! To those who don’t, have a good and safe weekend, and thanks for reading!

This is my favorite Friday Feets ever, as I have a serious thing for sparkly shoes, which started when I was a little kid and continues into my almost-adulthood. I have sequin-covered high-tops at the moment.

Ohmigod, I absolutely adore the Christian Louboutin peeptoes and that Lulu Townsend clutch! And if I didn’t render my nails to chipped little smithereens by gnawing at them every day, I would love those polishes too.

    I love sparkles. So much.
